The growing body of research shows the harmful effects of racial stereotyping and inaccurate racial portrayals, including the particularly harmful effects of American Indian sports mascots on the social identity development and self-esteem of American Indian young people.

This training will help participants understand the impacts of negative imagery and how historically negative imagery contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences.  Additionally, we will utilize a healing centered approach where participants will receive resources to advocate for change within systems they are impacted by.

This training is intended for school administrators, decision makers and community members advocating for safe school environments.
